These Terms & Conditions apply to membership of the PACT professional community provided by IMPACT CIC Ltd (“IMPACT”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By applying for PACT Membership, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
PACT Membership is a professional membership provided by IMPACT CIC Ltd for professionals who have an interest in, or experience of, PACT (Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy).
Membership is intended to support continued professional connection, learning, development and engagement with the wider PACT community.
Membership is separate from PACT training and certification. Becoming a member does not provide PACT training, certification or authorisation to deliver PACT unless you have separately completed the required PACT training and certification requirements.
PACT Membership is available to professionals who meet the membership requirements set by IMPACT.
We reserve the right to decline or refuse a membership application where an applicant does not meet the relevant requirements or where there is a reasonable professional or administrative reason for doing so.
Where membership is connected to PACT training or certification, membership does not replace any separate training, certification, supervision, fidelity or franchise requirements.
The standard PACT Membership fee is:
£65 per year.
Eligible NHS professionals receive a discounted membership rate of:
£58.50 per year.
The applicable membership fee will be confirmed during the membership application process.
Membership fees are payable in advance for the applicable membership period.
Where an NHS organisation is being invoiced, membership will be subject to the organisation's payment of the relevant invoice.
Membership fees are reviewed periodically and may change for future membership periods. Any applicable fee will be made clear before a membership is renewed or a new membership is purchased.
Membership lasts for 12 months from the date membership becomes active, unless otherwise stated by IMPACT.
Your membership start and renewal date will be confirmed by IMPACT.
Membership does not automatically renew unless IMPACT has clearly informed you that an automatic renewal arrangement applies and the necessary renewal terms have been provided.
If membership is not renewed, membership benefits will normally end when the membership period expires.
Membership benefits may include, subject to availability and any applicable eligibility requirements:
Membership benefits may be added to, changed or withdrawn where reasonably necessary. Where a significant change materially affects the overall nature of membership, IMPACT will communicate this to members.
Some benefits may be subject to additional eligibility criteria, booking requirements, limited availability or separate terms.
Membership may provide access to member-only Community of Practice sessions and other online or in-person events.
Places may be limited and may require advance booking.
Where a member books a place but is unable to attend, IMPACT may, where reasonably practicable, provide an alternative opportunity or recording. This is not guaranteed and will depend on the nature of the event.
IMPACT may change the date, time, format or facilitator of an event where reasonably necessary. We will make reasonable efforts to notify members of significant changes.
Where included as a membership benefit, members may be entitled to attend a PACT fidelity session in accordance with the current membership benefits and applicable fidelity arrangements.
Fidelity sessions are intended to support ongoing PACT practice and do not replace any mandatory training, supervision or certification requirements.
Eligibility, booking arrangements and frequency of fidelity opportunities may be subject to the PACT fidelity framework in place at the time.
Members may choose to be included in the PACT Professional Directory.
Directory inclusion is optional and requires the member's express agreement through the membership application process or subsequently through the membership system.
Where a member chooses to be included, the information displayed may include information such as:
The exact information displayed may change as the directory develops.
Members are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide for publication is accurate, appropriate and kept up to date.
Members must not provide information for the directory that is misleading, unlawful, defamatory, offensive or infringes another person's rights.
IMPACT reserves the right to amend, remove or decline directory information where we reasonably consider this necessary to maintain the accuracy, professionalism, security or integrity of the directory.
A member may request removal from the directory at any time.
Directory inclusion does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee by IMPACT of the member, their services, their employer or the quality or availability of services they provide.
IMPACT is not responsible for enquiries, arrangements, contracts or services entered into directly between a directory member and a member of the public or another professional.
Members are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully when participating in PACT membership activities, online communities, events and discussions.
Members must not use membership resources, forums, events or communications to:
Where appropriate, concerns about professional conduct may be investigated by IMPACT.
PACT training materials, videos, documents, resources, presentations, recordings, branding and other content supplied through membership remain the intellectual property of IMPACT or the relevant rights holder unless otherwise stated.
Membership gives you a limited, non-exclusive right to use member resources for your own professional development and PACT-related practice, where such use is permitted.
Members must not:
Where resources are supplied under separate terms, those terms will also apply.
Membership does not automatically give a member permission to use the PACT or IMPACT name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement, accreditation, employment or partnership beyond the member's actual status.
Where IMPACT provides a digital membership badge or approved wording for members to use, it must be used in accordance with any accompanying guidance.
Members must accurately describe their PACT training and certification status in professional communications, websites and social media.
IMPACT collects and uses personal information in connection with membership, including information provided through the membership application and information required to administer membership.
How IMPACT collects, uses, stores and protects personal information is explained in the IMPACT CIC Privacy Notice, which should be read alongside these Terms & Conditions.
Where you choose to be included in the PACT Professional Directory, the information you provide for that purpose may be made publicly available in accordance with the directory arrangements described above.
The directory opt-in is separate from your agreement to these Membership Terms & Conditions.
Members will receive communications necessary to administer their membership, including information about membership, events, sessions, resources and changes affecting membership.
Members may also receive relevant PACT news, professional updates and information about activities offered by IMPACT.
Where communications are subject to a separate marketing consent requirement, members will be given the appropriate choice.
A member may request cancellation of their membership by contacting IMPACT using the contact details provided on the PACT website.
Where applicable, statutory consumer cancellation rights will apply.
Where a member cancels after membership benefits have begun to be provided, any refund will be dealt with in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the cancellation.
Unless required by law, membership fees are not refundable simply because a member chooses not to use their membership benefits.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
IMPACT may suspend or terminate membership where we reasonably believe that a member:
Where appropriate, IMPACT will normally give the member an opportunity to address the issue before membership is terminated.
In serious circumstances, membership may be suspended or terminated immediately.
Where membership is terminated because of a member's breach of these Terms & Conditions, any refund will be considered on a case-by-case basis and subject to applicable law.
Termination of membership does not remove any rights or obligations that arose before termination.
IMPACT may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in membership, services, technology, legal requirements or the way PACT membership operates.
The current version will be published on the PACT website.
Where a change materially affects an existing member's rights or obligations, IMPACT will take reasonable steps to notify affected members.
Continued membership after the effective date of revised Terms & Conditions will constitute acceptance of the revised terms, subject to any rights you may have under applicable law.
We aim to provide the membership benefits described on the PACT website and in member communications.
However, particular events, sessions, resources, facilitators or other benefits may occasionally be unavailable due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.
IMPACT does not guarantee:
Where a significant disruption occurs, IMPACT will make reasonable efforts to provide information and, where appropriate, an alternative arrangement.
PACT Membership is intended to support professional development and connection.
Membership does not constitute clinical, legal, financial or other professional advice.
Members remain responsible for their own professional decisions, clinical practice, safeguarding responsibilities, compliance with relevant professional standards and any requirements of their employer or professional regulator.
Participation in a PACT membership activity does not replace a member's own professional judgement or responsibilities.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Subject to the above, IMPACT will not be responsible for losses that arise from matters outside our reasonable control or from a member's use of information, resources or professional opportunities provided through membership where the member is responsible for applying their own professional judgement.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.
IMPACT will not be responsible for failure or delay in providing membership services where this is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
This may include serious illness, staff or trainer unavailability, technical failures, cyber incidents, interruption to third-party platforms, changes in law or regulation, natural disasters, industrial action or other circumstances that could not reasonably have been prevented.
We will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption and restore affected services where possible.
We want members to have a positive experience of PACT Membership.
If you have a concern or complaint about your membership, please contact IMPACT using the contact details provided on the PACT website.
We will consider complaints fairly and aim to respond within a reasonable period.
PACT Membership is separate from:
Where a member has completed PACT training through a PACT franchise, these Membership Terms & Conditions apply to their membership with IMPACT unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Membership fees do not automatically offset, reduce or replace franchise fees or other payments due under a separate franchise agreement.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
